Current

  • Egor Lyfar — Founder, Executive Director, Treasurer. Solo until first hire.

Year 1 hire targets (priority order)

  1. Operations / Program Manager — first hire after first material gift ($100k+). Patient registry IRB + family onboarding + back-office.
  2. Communications / Comms Lead — content for wiki, press, donor reporting. Likely part-time / contractor first.
  3. Grant Manager — once disbursement volume justifies. Possibly outsourced through fiscal sponsor.

Volunteers / contractors

  • Brand identity contractor — projects/domain-and-brand-identity/
  • HK lawyer (one-off) — AoA review for HK CLG incorporation
  • US fiscal sponsor (org, not person) — handles US tax-deductible flow

Compensation framework

  • Founder salary: zero in Year 1. Reassess at Section 88 application.
  • All board + SAB: no compensation. Expense reimbursement only.
  • Staff: market-rate for HK nonprofit sector.
